I’m not gonna lie to you guys, the past couple of shoots have tested my cold tolerance since i’ve chosen outfits that were not exactly covering my limbs. For this outfit i set out in search for something more appropriate for shooting outdoors in cold weather. An internet search for winter 2012 trends led me to this Glamour Magazine UK article. They call the look Quintessentially British and say this about how to put this look together:
Sturdy leather boots, Fair Isle knits, the classic flat camp, tweeds, heavy-duty knitwear and colours that channel British heritage (royal blue, pillar box red).
And here is the outfit they chose to represent the look
So i thought to myself, i could totally pull this off! I have a “pillar box red” t-shirt I could wear, and a pair of pants that i recently bought at Zara (they’re 50% off!) that i thought would work great. Add to that my Sharagano Atelier plaid blazer, benetton tweed coat and most definitely sturdy Ink leather boots and we’ve got something. While doing the shoot i even got inspired to style it two ways, one styled more similarly to the inspiration outfit and one with my jacket buttoned up. Which is your favorite?

I love the jacket buttoned and belted, I’m a sucker for this look
I think thats my fave too
